About

Hao Shi (施浩) obtained her BE in Electronics Engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University (上海交大电子工程系), China in 1986 and her PhD in Computer Engineering at University of Wollongong, Australia in 1992. She joined the then Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Victoria University in 1992 as a Lecturer and was promoted to a Senior Lecturer in 2001. She rejoined School of Computer Science and Mathematics in March 2003 after working at Swinburne University of Technology as a Senior Lecturer, Minor Thesis Coordinator and Course Director for Postgraduate Multimedia Courses for 13 months. Hao was promoted to Associate Professor in January 2008.

She has been actively engaged in R&D and external consultancy activities and published refereed papers in international journals, and international and national conferences. She is the coordinator for the final-year computing industry projects in the School and teaching web-related units. Her research interests include p2p Network, Location-Based Services, Web Services, Computer/Robotics Vision, Visual Communications, e-Health application, Internet, Multimedia and Wireless Technologies.
